Television Tuning



A wide variety of issues can be solved with a simple Re-Tuning of the TV, please see below a lost of commonly associated problems related to poor signal

-      Pixilation – This shows as ‘blocks’ on the screen whilst watching Digital channels, it is usually accompanied by high pitched noises and sometimes loss of the channel completely.
-      Out of Sync Sound – This is when the sound and the picture do not seem to be in sync, for example somebodys mouth moves but the words come out a split second after.
-      No Signal” or “Channels not stored” error messages on the screen.
Below are the different methods for re-tuning a Samsung TV

Method 1 - The easiest and quickest way to re-tune a Samsung is to restore it back to its factory settings
Simply press and hold the ‘Exit’ button on the remote control for 10 seconds


 

 “Resets all settings to the default values' message appears, press the ‘Enter’ button and follow the on screen instructions.


 
Method 2 ('A' Range)– To manually re-tune a Samsung 'A Range' TV please follow the below steps.

In DTV Mode press the ‘Menu’ button to bring up the on screen Menu.

Using the arrow keys and  scroll down to the ‘Digital Setup’ tab, press ‘Enter’ then scroll down the the ‘Setup’ option and press ‘Enter’ again.
 


Now select the ‘Auto Store’ option and follow the on screen instructions until you see the scanning page.



Once complete, press the ‘Menu’ button again to return to Digital TV, you can now scroll through the channels and operate the TV as normal.



                                                       
Method 3 ('B' Range) – To manually re-tune a Samsung ‘B Range’ TV please follow the below steps.
 

 In DTV Mode press the ‘Menu’ button and using the arrow keys scroll down to the ‘Channel’ icon – press ‘Enter’ and scroll down to Auto Store – press ‘Enter’







 Now select the signal source as ‘Air’, and when asked ‘Antenna source to memorize’ -  select ‘Digital & Analogue’. Allow the TV to re-tune.
